Extending thresholds, enhancing sonic qualities of environment (the experience of passing from the sidewalk to the interior of the proposed building)… a steel ‘bridge’ set into the paving resonates under one’s feet, loudest at the door threshold, but also extending into the sidewalk paving.
A curved door collects street sound and focuses it at the person entering.
Thinking about how to create continuity (through materials, modifying the facade of the kindergarten) between the existing building and the proposed structure.
